Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG) has been set up by the state government as an autonomous body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. D-SAG aims at successful implementation of the Chief Ministers Ten Point Programme (Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojna). D-SAG plays a critical role in identifying projects for this ambitious program, timely disbursal of funds and selection of implementing partners. D-SAG also plays an advocacy role by extending assistance in implementing government policies and programmes for the development of tribal communities and areas.

Gujarat State Tribal Education Society (GSTES) or EMRS Society was formed in 2000 as an autonomous society by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat, with the objective of establishing, maintaining, controlling and managing good quality schools for Schedule Tribe students with the aim of bringing them at par with general students.

GTDC was formed in October 1972. Its main objective is to undertake all the programs that are related to development of socio-economic status of the Schedule Tribe population in Gujarat. Along with this, GTDC is to also to promote dairy development program, agriculture development program, marketing of farm produce and storage, small scale industries, construction of houses, and any other economic project for the welfare of the tribal population.

Tribal Research and Training Institute, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad was established in 1962. The Institute undertakes research and evaluation studies on various economic development programs meant for the tribal population, including ethnic and cultural aspects, in the state. It also conducts orientation/ training courses for NGOs and government functionaries.
