  • OVERVIEW | The Schedule Tribe population has lower literacy level in comparison with other sections of the society. Due to absence of secondary and higher secondary schools in tribal areas, students leave studies after getting primary education.
  • OBJECTIVE | To provide boarding and lodging facilities by government registered organizations to the tribal students who wish to pursue primary, secondary and higher secondary education

  • GEOGRAPHICAL FOOTPRINTS | Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Dang, Junagadh, Porabandar, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Ahamedabad, Kheda, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Devbhumi Dvarka, Chhotaudepur, Girsomnath.
  • INTENDED BENEFICIARIES | Students who are studying in standard 5 to 12
  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA | The annual income of the family should be up to Rs. 1,20,000 for rural area and Rs. 1,50,000 for urban area.
  • BENEFITS UNDER THE SCHEME | Free lodging and boarding facilities.
  • KEY ACHIEVEMENTS | 910 grant in aid hostels have been running, and providing lodging and boarding facilities to about 48,410 students.
