- OVERVIEW | In order to cater to the medical coaching needs of the ST students and to do away with the vacant seats under ST category in Medical Colleges, a GUJCET coaching scheme was initiated. This scheme would coach tribal students for GUJCET and encourage them into medical education.

- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA | Various incentives and allowances that the student can avail include fee, maintenance allowance, food bills reimbursement, an additional amount to 1st year students for procurement of instruments, etc.
- BENEFITS UNDER THE SCHEME | Creation of infrastructure, construction of roads, educational facilities, drinking water facilities, health facilities, agricultural development, land distribution to landless, cattle development, income generation activities, protection of tradition, etc.
- KEY ACHIEVEMENTS | In 2014-15, out of the 354 sanctioned ST seats in Medical Colleges across Gujarat, 323 seats (91%) were filled as compared to 60% in the previous year
